International Air Transport Association – IATA-certified Indirect Air Carrier (IAC)

What is IATA?

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 260 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. We support many areas of aviation activity and help formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues. As a certified Indirect Air Carrier, we offer complete Air Freight logistics solutions to anywhere in the world.

What is an Indirect Air Carrier?

An Indirect Air Carrier (IAC) refers to any person or entity within the United States, not in possession of a Federal Aviation Administration air carrier operating certificate, which undertakes to engage indirectly in air transportation of property and uses for all or any part of such transportation the services of an air carrier. Each indirect air carrier must adopt and carry out a security program that meets current TSA requirements and is renewed annually.

While we don't own or operate our own aircraft, as an IAC provider, UWL has access to many convenient options for shipping air freight.  Our team follows strict TSA requirements for loading cargo onto commercial planes and we work with major airlines and airports to ensure the prompt and safe delivery of our clients’ shipments.
